Hello! I am a Research Scientist at Google AI. Previously, I obtained my PhD at the Computer Vision Lab of ETH Zürich, where I worked with Prof. Luc Van Gool and Dr. Jordi Pont-Tuset on scene understanding. I received my M.Eng degree from National Technical University of Athens, School of Electrical and Computer Engineering. I was a member of the CVSP lab working on human action recognition in videos with Prof. Petros Maragos. I have interned in Facebook AI Research (FAIR), where I worked on multi-task learning with Prof. Iasonas Kokkinos. This personal web-page will be updated with my research work.

News

Oct 2019: After 4 amazing years at ETH Zurich, I have finished my PhD, and I will be working as a Research Scientist at Google.

Aug 2019: We released the code for Attentive Single-Tasking of Multiple Tasks (ASTMT) .

Feb 2019: Our paper on multi-task learning was accepted in CVPR 2019. Work done at FAIR with Ilija Radosavovic and Iasonas Kokkinos.

May 2018: Journal extension of OSVOS accepted by T-PAMI.

Mar 2018: Deep EXTReme cut (DEXTR) was accepted in CVPR 2018! PyTorch code, pre-computed results, and models available!!

Jan 2018: Our work on 3D from CNN keypoints was accepted by Robotics and Automation Letters (RA-L)/ICRA! ~100μm accuracy for stereo reconstruction in retinal surgery!!

Misc

Take a look at Skyros (my hometown), a small island in the center of Aegean, in Greece. Skyros is popular for its ponies, its ceramics and its traditional carnival (video). Skyros is also an ideal holiday destination in the summer, with people from all around the world visiting to enjoy the deep blue sea and the relaxing rhythms of living.
